lately... :)
So I believe today, Saturday, February 27th 2010 is our 3-week marker of arriving in Washington! The trip out was nothing short of perfection, up against some odds with the snow storms and freezing cold, we were blessed to have driven threw sunshine and clear skies and only a wee bit of rain! Total trip took 3 days, 2 nights in hotels, tons of stops for food/gas fill ups, lots of singing in the car and a lot of FAITH and ENERGY! Since we’ve arrived we found a place in Edmonds WA, which is right by sunset ave. where the ferry, the train tracks, coffee shops, whales and a beautiful view of the mountains and islands meet the coast line beach of the Pugent sound. It is a beautiful, peaceful, and safe community. With a small but sweet little town in the heart of it, Edmonds is surrounded by city and state parks, even a skate park J, we are coming to really love it here! Plus downtown Seattle is only 20 minutes away! Being here has been an amazing escapade thus far. It has been wonderful to see my family after sometime now, hugs and kisses all around! They have been so helpful and kind to us, its crazy how much catching up we all still have to do! Ryders been having tons of fun hangin’ with his cousins Jake and Kai too! Three happy and energetic boys can get crazy, but you cant complain when you see all three of them smiling at once! Weve spent some time in downtown seattle as well, checking out some parks and even got to testout some of the raw food at Katies resturaunt called“Thrive” which has turned us on too a whole new idea of eating and living! Plus, we just got done celebrating my Dads and Katies Birthday- yummy yummy Moms specialty Mexican lasagna and MANGO for dessert! Emma came in for it too which was way cool! And lastly we spent our first offical holiday out here: Valentines, which was simple and sweet, just the way I like it. ;) Besides that, we’ve been job hunting, furniture diggin’, painting, hiking, spending time together and exploring! There’s so much out here to do and so many things we want to accomplish! All in all we are starting to feel settled in our new environment and are very grateful and happy to be here! Thank you for your prays and faith in us! Our ROOTS are what keep us growing! We love and miss you all who are not here with us!! Come visit!! I Promise to try and update as much as possible! Peace Health Love & Happiness Xoxox The Dohertys Finally!!A place to post photos, stories, & quick updates about whats happenin' in this cozy cottage we are living in. We also got to celebrate with my family in the west coast as we united over the phone for a while chirstmas eve night, which was both touching and sweet! (another tradition!) Saturday night we headed back up north to try and unwind and relax. Since weve been back weve been playin with all of Ryders new toys from santa, playing in the snow, drinkin hot coacoa, playing guitar by the fire, board games ect ect. Simply preparing to welcome and embrace the new year to come as a healthy and whole family of the three. :) I hope you all are doing the same in your own way!
